The spaceman says everybody look down...

"The storm maker says it ain't so bad,
the dream maker's gonna make you mad.
The spaceman says everybody look down,
it's all in your mind."

There's a lot of stupid crap in the world, but I think what takes the cake is the argument over whether or not there's intelligent life, or life of any kind, somewhere else in the universe.

First off, I don't profess to know or to have an opinion on life somewhere else, but the fact is, nobody actually knows about that. At all. This universe is too huge, and there are places that mankind may never see. Now it isn't logical to say that because we can't be %100 positive that it automatically makes it true or untrue, but I think everybody should just stop bitching about it and focus on things that are a million times more important.

I think that all the X-Files I've been watching has sparked this sort of interest in humanity's belief in things that we can't really seem to prove nor disprove.

What I'm more interested in, I think, is the need to believe in something that man seems to carry around. What creates this need to have faith in something? And are people directing their faith in the wrong directions? What makes the belief in God different from the belief in extraterrestrials? Can you honestly say that we can prove God exists anymore than we can prove that the paranormal exists?

I'd love to hear some thoughts.

I think the reason why I need to believe in something bigger out there is because the universe is so ordered, even in its chaos. I mean, planet earth stays in the air by spinning at such an incredibly fast rate and keeps itself in orbit around a star... and not just planet earth, but many planets, and moons too. These gigantic balls of gas or rock just flying and flinging themselves around in order! Maybe I'm just a simpleton, but it seems that something or some force other than just a gravitational force had to engineer the planets so specifically to keep them from crashing into each other or just falling into a black hole or something. I think another reason why I need to believe in something because there has to be a way to justify why good and bad things happen. Otherwise, the point of justice and good doing would all be in vain. Plus, if there is a greater being who is altogether good out there, then it provides hope. I know that people argue that good things will happen to good people, but that's not always true. Sometimes good things happen to terrible people and terrible things happen to good people, and believing that sin exists and all humans are born into it... and believing that there is a God who loves us and wants us to be a part of a magical miraculous life is more satisfying than believing that life is unfair, so we just have to deal with it the best you can...

P.S. I believe that there are extraterestrials. And I also believe that the images of fantastical creatures do exist. We create because we were created... if the first person who made up a unicorn didn't do it, someone else would have because they exist. Maybe not here on earth, but somewhere, they exist. Well, I believe that they do.

yes God trully exist cause our origin didnt just erupt from nowhere.. some special and supernatural being made it happen somehow according to the religious history of mankind.

However, i would not stress if extraterristral being exit or not but would only say that they are things hidden in some parts of this universe, secrets yet unraffled.

take care
